Nature of Complaint

I have inquired several times of the DRT personnel here in Brunswick if the water from the plant is being brought into Brunswick and I have been told that only on one occasion the water was brought here to be further transported to Florida. After reviewing this article and video, I need to know if this situation has been remedied or if the EPD approved DRT to bring this wastewater to their Brunswick location and if so- does it go out with their NPDES permitted wastewater; because their pretreatment permit does not address this issue and the Brunswick-Glynn Joint Water & Sewer Commission has not been informed of this wastewater being a part of their wastewater coming to the Academy Creek plant (which has been denied previously).

Follow-Up Investigation

25‑Jul‑2018 by Stephen Wurtz

Documents received and determined that all waste water is being trucked to other facilities in South Carolina and Florida. The facility is still trucking waste water and brine from an RO plant out of state. The facility is still reporting to NetDMR as not discharging.

Initial Investigation

29‑May‑2018 by Stephen Wurtz

I have emailed Mrs. Matthews for a written statement and documentation of where the waste water goes after it leaves DRT Rincon with documentation. I have received reply and expecting information in the next day or two.
