Initial Investigation
29‑Jul‑2010 by jerry campbell
1006 received call from Alyssa Hughes EPA Region IV ERT Duty Officer inquiring if the State was sending a responder to the site. I advised her that I was not aware of the release and had not received a page or any type notification. She provided me the name and contact number for the Georgia Power representative and I called Mr. Barton and discussed the release. While on the phone with Mr. barton the EOC paged me and when I called Wallace briefed me on the report.
1037 I called J. Barnes, briefed him on the incident and he agreed to respond. I called Alyssa Hughes back and advised that J. Barnes was responding and that he would update her as appropriate.
