On 11/21, Spoke With Eoc And Advised That Burning Of Lumber Is Not Usually An Environmental Violation. The Burn Ban Is Limited To Several Counties In/Near Atlanta And Is Only Effective Seasonally From May Through September.
On 11/22 At 0900, Returned Call To Travis, Ga Forestry, To Make Sure Lumber Was Not Treated Wood. He Reported That The Lumber Was Probably Both Treated And Non-Treated And Mixed With Metal Bands, Plastic And Construction Scrap Materials. He Described Construction And Demolition (C&D) Waste. Also, Travis Provided Contacts For The Rp. Ert Agreed To Contact The Rp And Advised That Such Burning Is Aq Violation Subject To Enforcement Actions. In Addition, Travis Provided Contact For The City Of Springfield, Ms Amber Martin (912/754-6666).
On 11/22 At 0925, Called And Lmfrc With Loy Graham, Contractor.
On 11/22 At 0930, Spoke With Amber Martin, City Hall. She Agreed To Fax Copy Of Report To Ert Office. Ert Plans To Close Report After Notifying The Rp That Future Violations Are Subject To Enforecment Action. No Further Action Recommended At This Time.
